Apr\u00e8s sept ans d&rsquo;entra\u00eenement, il va passer six mois sur la Station Spatiale Internationale ISS avec, \u00e0 son poignet, une Speedmaster d&rsquo;Omega. Loin de ressembler au chronographe historique, la c\u00e9l\u00e8bre \u00ab\u00a0Moonwatch\u00a0\u00bb, qui a accompagn\u00e9 les premiers pas de l&rsquo;homme sur la lune le 12 juillet 1969, cette \u00e9dition est r\u00e9solument technologique.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.my-watchsite.fr\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/Omegathomaspesquet2.jpg\" alt=\"La Speedmaster Omega Skywalker X-33 de Thomas Pesquet\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Son nom, Speedmaster Skywalker \u00ab\u00a0X-33\u00a0\u00bb, fait r\u00e9f\u00e9rence \u00e0 un ancien projet de navette spatiale d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e par Lockheed Martin et la NASA. Habill\u00e9 de titane, cet instrument particuli\u00e8rement l\u00e9ger a \u00e9t\u00e9 mis au point avec l&rsquo;Agence Spatiale Europ\u00e9enne (ESA) qui l&rsquo;a test\u00e9 et homologu\u00e9. Son bo\u00eetier de 45 mm de diam\u00e8tre, \u00e0 lunette tournante bidirectionnelle en c\u00e9ramique, prot\u00e8ge un cadran dot\u00e9 d&rsquo;aiguilles mais aussi d&rsquo;un \u00e9cran LCD r\u00e9tro-luminescent. Omega a plac\u00e9 \u00e0 l&rsquo;int\u00e9rieur de cette Speedmaster un mouvement quartz multifonction \u00e0 compensation thermique de grande pr\u00e9cision. Ce v\u00e9ritable ordinateur miniature contient des fonctions sp\u00e9ciales MET (Mission Elapsed Time) et PET (Phase Elapsed Time), qui affichent le temps \u00e9coul\u00e9 de la mission et celui de ses diff\u00e9rentes phases, auxquelles s&rsquo;ajoutent d&rsquo;autres \u00ab\u00a0programmes\u00a0\u00bb : chronographe, compte \u00e0 rebours, GMT (trois fuseaux horaires), calendrier perp\u00e9tuel et trois alarmes diff\u00e9rentes.
